Hamas terrorists were shooting rockets from the school building with people, this event was exactly what Hamas planned - to draw Israel into responding to their rockets fired from the building.

 When Israel did respond, the building was booby trapped and full of explosives. With the height of bestiality, they planned the disaster with their own people, knowing that Palestinian victims are their ultimate weapon. The world will respond to the “Gazan humanitarian crisis.”

It is generally known that the main Hamas leaders are hiding in tunnels under the main Gazan hospital. They are sure Israel will not attack the hospital. Schools are regularly used by the terrorists.

Obviously, the last thing that Israel wants is a humanitarian crisis. But Hamas is doing everything it can to make it happen. The only way they can win this war is to get the world to stop Israel.
 

Secondly, four Israeli soldiers have been killed by friendly fire (bringing the toll to 6 fallen IDF soldiers), and 20 wounded, three critically.  Under Gaza is a whole world of tunnels beneath the crowded buildings which enables Hamas to pop up in one place and seconds later in another place - and in the confusing and instantly changing scenarios, Israeli soldiers have even mistaken their own soldiers for Hamas.

Thirdly, with all the thanksgiving we can give to God, Hamas has not been able to kidnap an Israeli. We can only praise God for His divine protection against these kidnappings.  Actually, one strong attempt was made to kidnap an Israeli the second day of the war by luring him into a tunnel, but the soldier was able to fight off single handedly the terrorists and rejoin his fellow soldiers.
 

Fourthly, attempts to demand a cease fire (read: force Israel to stop defending her citizens while Hamas would continue her firing rockets into Israel) is intensifying. Israel believes that if she is stopped before she brings Hamas to her knees, this same scenario will be repeated again in a very short time.

Please pray:

1. That Israel will be allowed by world powers to bring Hamas to a place that she will no longer feel it worthwhile to keep raining rockets on Israel’s southern population.  The rockets have fallen on Israel now for eight years while the world did nothing to stop them.

 

2. That Hamas will not be able to kidnap any Israeli soldiers.

 

3. That God would protect Israeli forces so that no more Israelis will be killed by friendly fire.

 

4. That God would protect innocent Gazans, against all the cynical and callous efforts of Hamas to sacrifice their own people in order to stay in power.

 

5. That God would protect Israel from those who hate her - and show Himself great by giving success to the Israel Defense Forces and protect her soldiers from harm’s way.
