Prayers and Devotions for Passover Night Eight Passover is about remembering what God has done in the past, living with expectancy for what God is going to do today, and what He will do in the future.

At the very first Passover, God was setting things up to introduce an entirely new future for the Children of Israel. He was in the process of freeing them from 400 years of slavery as a People. He had a plan for them, and He was bringing it about. They eagerly expected Him to unfold His plan and make it their reality.

God has a plan for you as well. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that God has a plan for each of us and that it’s a good plan, to give us a hope and a future. We can look ahead and know that God has good things in mind for us.

He doesn’t always unfold our future all at once for us. He wants us to trust Him along the way. Sometimes, His plans don’t line up with our plans, and when we trust Him with this, we experience new depths of His love for us.

He knows you thoroughly and loves you completely. He knows the plans He has for you, and He promises that they are good, for your welfare, not for calamity. Believing Him in this generates a watchful hope.

Draw close to Him and listen for His leading into His good plan for you. Lay your dreams and needs before Him, and see what He will do.

Father, You have good plans for me! Thank You so much! Give me an expectant heart and help me draw close to You for a front row seat to watch you unfold Your plans and purposes for my life!
