Jonathan Bernis, President & CEO

Jonathan Bernis is a Jewish Believer in Jesus who has been a leader in Messianic Jewish ministry for more than 30 years. He serves as President and CEO of Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI).

Jewish Voice exists to transform lives and see all Israel saved. Their mission is to proclaim the Gospel, grow the Messianic Jewish community, and engage the Church concerning Israel and the Jewish people.

Jonathan hosts JVMI’s syndicated television program, “Jewish Voice with Jonathan Bernis,” which airs on Christian networks and by satellite throughout the world. It is available via live streaming on the internet.

Jewish Voice conducts humanitarian/medical outreaches to some of the most impoverished Jewish communities on Earth, including regular outreaches in Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and other points of need. The ministries’ outreaches also include large-scale international Festivals of Jewish Music & Dance in major cities of the world with large Jewish populations.

In addition to its Phoenix headquarters, Jewish Voice has an office in Jerusalem where JVMI staff works with 60 ministry partners throughout Israel.

Jonathan is the author of several books including Unlocking the Prophetic Mysteries of Israel, and his best-selling Rabbi series (A Rabbi Looks at the Afterlife, A Rabbi Looks at the Last Days, A Rabbi Looks at Jesus of Nazareth, and more). Jonathan and his wife, Elisangela, reside in Phoenix with their two daughters.

 

Michael McClellan

Michael McClellan, Chief Finance Officer

Michael McClellan came to Jewish Voice Ministries in 2016 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and in 2017, assumed additional responsibility for the ministry’s Operations. Michael graduated with distinction from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After serving as an officer in the United States Navy, he earned his MBA at the Harvard Graduate School of Business and began a career that included brand management work for Procter & Gamble on the Tide brand, and general management roles at PEPSICO and Yum! Brands. As Market General Manager for Taco Bell’s Kansas City region, Michael led the country in sales and profit growth. He was promoted to Director of Strategic Development and eventually led the entire real estate and development departments.

As YUM! Brands, Inc. – parent company of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, Long John Silver’s, and A&W restaurants – neared the completion of its divestiture strategy, they approached Michael with the opportunity to become a franchisee. In 1999 he acquired 63 restaurants, and in 2000, he purchased 60 more, making him one of the top five largest franchisees in the Pizza Hut system. Michael was both CEO and CFO of his business and also served as Board Member for the Franchisees and Chair of various finance and IT committees within the Pizza Hut system, and advocated in Washington on behalf of the industry.

After selling his restaurants in 2009, Michael was Chief Operations Officer for the Transformational Opportunity Fund. After a period of turnaround consulting, he became CFO of American Micro and led the company’s financial turnaround while overseeing its finance, accounting, IT, human resources, and legal departments in the US and China. Michael has been married to his wife Charlene for twelve years. He has two grown daughters, Bryanna and Brooke, and recently welcomed his first grandson into the world.

 

Matthew Panos

Matthew Panos, Chief Development Officer

Matt is a 30+ year veteran of direct response fundraising, communications, and major donor development. As CDO, Matt is responsible for more than $30 million of annual income from individual partners (donors), volunteers, foundations, and churches. He is responsible for all acquisition and cultivation channels including television, radio, direct mail, and all digital functions. Matt is also responsible for communications, public relations, and customer relationship management functions at JVMI including data analysis and partner services.

Prior to Jewish Voice, Matt has worked with several Philanthropy 400 organizations such as Feed the Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and ChildFund.

Matt was brought up Jewish and came to know Yeshua as his Lord and Savior in 1996. He has two undergraduate degrees from North Carolina State University where he was a member of the Wolfpack golf team. He also earned an MBA from California Coast University.

He is married with two children.

 

Ellen Nevitt

Ellen Nevitt, Chief People Officer

Ellen Nevitt joined Jewish Voice in 2014 as Human Resources Officer. She is a seasoned HR Professional having earned a B.A. in Communications Studies from Arizona State University summa cum laude. She has received certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), EQ-i/EQ360 administrator, and Predictive Index Analyst. With nearly 20 years in Human Resources, Ellen has worked in a broad array of industries including medical services, IT, engineering, PEO, and manufacturing. She provided HR consulting work in both secular and ministry fields for nearly 10 years. Ellen’s experience includes management training, employee relations, benefit administration, recruiting, and organizational change to name a few.

Ellen’s passion is to help people use their God-given gifts for His kingdom work and reach their potential. Her motto is, “Engage, Equip, and Empower.” She does this by working to align people with the right jobs, providing coaching for management and staff toward developing and encouraging an open, communicative environment.

Ellen is a native Arizonan married to a wonderful husband and blessed with two amazing children and a stepson. She is a long-time member of Oasis Community Church in Phoenix serving in various ministries including women’s outreach, drama, and worship.

 

Ezra Benjamin

Ezra Benjamin, Vice President of Global Outreach

Ezra Benjamin has served at Jewish Voice in the Global Outreach Department for just over seven years. Following an outreach to Ethiopia where he served as a volunteer in the spiritual care and triage departments, Ezra was deeply impacted by the mission and vision of Jonathan and Jewish Voice to reach and bless his Jewish people scattered among the nations—especially the scattered Jewish communities throughout Africa and into Asia. Ezra moved from Chicago to Phoenix in 2010 to join the staff of JVMI as a Logistics Manager, handling the tactical preparation for and execution of Jewish Voice outreaches and festivals. He senses a strong calling to be a help, a blessing, and a light to his people—especially those hurting or suffering in remote communities of the world. Ezra is now the Vice President of Global Outreach, overseeing the planning and execution of medical and festival outreach events among Jewish communities outside North America.

 

 

Troy Wallace

Troy Wallace, Vice President of Congregation & Leadership Development

Troy B. Wallace received a Master’s in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2001 from Virginia Tech. After working four years in the field, he has been in vocational ministry since 2005 following an internship with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. Troy served at El Shaddai Congregation in Maryland as a ministry intern and later as Assistant Congregational Leader. He also served on staff with Revive Israel, an indigenous apostolic ministry based in Jerusalem and led by Asher Intrater, serving as Director of Revive Israel North America.

Over the years, Troy connected with the heartbeat of Jewish Voice Ministries’ work, and in 2015, he moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona to join the JVMI team. Troy and his wife, Jen Cohen, have three children – Lyla, Eva, and Nehemiah.

Troy’s passion is to see the restoration of all things when Yeshua is ruling from His governmental headquarters in Jerusalem. He believes that as we understand God’s plan for Israel and the nations, we can hasten the return of Yeshua – the fulfillment of the hope of our faith.
