I write you today with a powerful sense of expectancy because I get to point you to three truths that combine to form an amazing opportunity for you and me.

The number three holds powerful significance in the Bible and in God’s order of things. The Eternal God is revealed in three persons. Three pilgrimage feasts. Three divisions of the Tabernacle. Three parts to every person (spirit, soul, body).

And it symbolically suggests the idea of completeness (beginning, middle, end); and fullness (height, width, depth).

As I was reading my Bible recently, the Lord brought a special “three” to my attention. It involved three special groups of people and a promise of blessing to those who extend a hand of help to them: The Jewish People, Fellow Believers, and Widows, Orphans, and the Poor.

One of the surest paths to blessing in God’s order of things is to bless the Jewish People. (See Genesis 12:3.) This certainly involves helping meet the material, physical needs of oppressed Jews, and standing with them against the rising tide of anti-Semitism.

But, the greatest blessing we can possibly bestow upon a Jewish person is an introduction to Yeshua HaMashiach — the promised Messiah, Jesus.

Another group we as followers of Yeshua (Jesus) are exhorted to bless and care for is our Fellow Believers. (See Galatians 6:10.)

Scripture repeatedly assures us that blessing will flow into the life of one who extends a hand of compassion toward suffering followers of Yeshua. (See 2 Corinthians 9 and Philippians 4:10-19.)

Finally, the third category that scripture exhorts us to help — invariably reminding us to expect heavenly blessing and favor for doing so: Widows, Orphans, and the Poor. (See Proverbs 19:17 and Proverbs 28:27.)

The ongoing outreaches of Jewish Voice to the “Lost Tribes of Israel” in Ethiopia and elsewhere—like the initiative we have coming up in Addis Ababa just days from now—actually fulfill ALL THREE of these biblical mandates at once!

These communities identify as Jews, many of them have embraced Yeshua as Messiah (and more will do so as we share the truth with them), and the precious people we will minister to are all desperately poor and suffering.

Your triple blessing gift in support of these outreaches may be one of the most spiritually powerful things you can do right now.

Many of the medical needs we will encounter on this upcoming mission effort will be overwhelming. We know the suffering and desperation we will encounter. And we know it will break our hearts.

We go with a powerful sense of urgency because we know that for some awaiting our arrival, time is literally running out. Infants and toddlers are the most vulnerable, and the most likely to die needlessly for lack of basic medical care.

The need will be enormous. The lines will be long. Click below to see how compassion and hope meet up with lives in need.
