Lyrics
Shalom, it’s me.
I’m rejoicing over the redemption from Egypt’s slavery.
God saw our people in distress
and gave Moses a message for our healing.
Shalom, can you hear me
I’ve been walking like an Egyptian about who we used to be
When we were slaves, but now we’re free
I’ve forgotten how it felt before we fell at the Pharaoh’s feet.
The Lord made a difference in our lives
And we trekked to Mount Sinai
Shalom from the other side
God must have told you a thousand times
“Send forth My people, so that they may serve me”
But despite numerous warnings, Pharaoh did not comply
Shalom from the outside
Seders first and second night
We eat matzah, charoset and drink four cups of wine
to celebrate that we don't have to be in Egypt anymore.
