Portions – A Weekly Devotional for Drawing Near to the Lord
Each week, Jewish synagogues and Messianic Jewish congregations read a portion (parasha) of the first five books of the Bible, the Torah. Portions is a collection of 54 Messianic Jewish devotions based on Judaism’s annual reading cycle of Torah portions. It takes you on a journey following God’s Chosen People in their earliest days as a people who set apart as His. Like these ancient people, our lives are journeys aimed at knowing God better, trusting Him more and following Him as He leads us to into what He has promised.
Portions will inspire you to:
- Counter lies and temptations with the truth of God’s Word
- Overcome discouragement and find joy
- Look beyond difficult circumstances to find God’s goodness
- Trust God when you don’t understand what He’s doing
- Overpower shame by standing on God’s love and secure promises
- Remember God’s victories and gifts to you
- Treasure His Word and honor His holiness, and
- Marvel at His glory and the wonders of His work
“Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one.” These words from Deuteronomy 6:4 begin the most important declaration of the Jewish faith, the Shema. The Shema is contained inside mezuzahs on the doorposts of Jewish homes, and it is a central part of morning and evening prayers in Judaism. With this beautifully designed, pewter keyring, bearing its opening words in Hebrew, you’ll be able to take this fundamental message of faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with you wherever you go.
2024 Jewish Voice Wall Calendar
The 2024 Jewish Voice calendar takes you on a journey along our ministry “roadmap” for reaching the “Lost Tribes of Israel.” You’ll see the various key markers along the way from the first discovery of a community claiming Jewish roots through the final goal of connecting indigenous Messianic Jewish congregations with the worldwide body of Messiah. This 12-month calendar features beautiful photographs of the people and places helped by your support. Calendar pages identify Jewish holidays as well as those for the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Israel.
