How to Amplify Your Impact

January 18, 2017

From Jonathan Bernis

I’m writing you today because of your interest in reaching God’s chosen people with the Gospel.

Your partnership gives me confidence to ask you to prayerfully consider becoming a monthly giver.

I realize many worthy causes are seeking your support. You’d be right to ask, Why Jewish Voice?

Here’s why I hope you’ll give monthly . . .

Incredible need — spiritual battle

As Jewish Voice marks 50 years of sharing Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah, your financial support has never been more critical. That’s because reaching Jewish people — especially those suffering through poverty, disease, and religious oppression — has never been more difficult.

Many places where Jewish Voice works are remote — almost inaccessible for the people, equipment, and materials needed for our medical and evangelistic outreaches.

Even beyond physical challenges, we often must overcome opposition from authorities, other religious groups, and those who hate and oppress the Jewish people we’re called to help.

In Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Israel, Ukraine, and other remote nations of the world we work in, Jewish Voice constantly encounters extreme opposition, barriers, struggles, red tape, threats, and operational complications.

Our permits are delayed. The equipment is not approved or is significantly delayed in customs. Religious communities (including Muslim, Orthodox Christians, and Orthodox Jews) fight to keep us out. Authorities work to limit our impact, and especially to prevent our efforts to introduce Jewish people to Jesus as their Messiah.

It is obvious to me we are battling against spiritual forces behind it all, as the Enemy tries to keep us from caring for the precious Jewish people whom God loves so much.

Acting in the name of Yeshua

But we will not be stopped, because we know that as we meet the physical needs of Jewish people, we also help open their hearts to salvation in Yeshua.

In this we take our example from the work Yeshua himself did while He was on earth . . .

  • On a mountainside in Galilee, Yeshua healed all who were brought to Him, and we’re told, “So the crowd marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the disabled made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel” (Matthew 15:31 TLV).
  • Two blind men outside Jericho called out to Yeshua for mercy. Scripture says, Moved with compassion, Yeshua touched their eyes. Instantly they regained their sight and followed Him” (Matthew 20:34 TLV).
  • A blind man named Bartimaeus asked Yeshua to heal his sight. His request was granted and, “Instantly he regained his sight and began following Yeshua . . .” (Mark 10:52 TLV).

Again and again, we read of Yeshua healing those in physical need, followed immediately by their praising God and believing in Yeshua as their Messiah.

At Jewish Voice, we seek to follow Yeshua by bringing healing in His name — through our international medical clinics and intercessory prayer. We do this because we feel compassion for physical suffering and because it glorifies God and opens people to the Good News of Yeshua.

And while we care for everyone who comes to us, Jewish Voice is especially called to minister to Jewish people — including many in remote parts of the world who are descendants of Israelites taken into exile 2,700 years ago.

Today, these Jewish descendants — the remnants of the lost and scattered Tribes of Israel — live in Ethiopia, India, Burma, Zimbabwe, and elsewhere. In some cases, their claims of Jewish ancestry have been proven by modern genetic testing. In others, verification is under way.

And in every case we’ve found so far, these communities of Jewish people live in relative isolation from their surrounding cultures.

Seen as different, they’re persecuted by others. And almost always, they are oppressed in extreme poverty and lack access to even basic services like medical, dental, and vision care.

Make a dramatic, life-transforming impact

Fortunately, the average cost of medical, dental, or eye care services through our Jewish Voice clinics is only about $30 per person.

Each $30 you give will bring sight back to a Jewish person suffering from blindness or limited vision, or provide other critically needed medical care.

When you become a monthly giver, you’ll not only bring physical healing to Jewish people, you’ll also provide the Good News of Yeshua as Messiah — the Yeshua who wants to save all who will turn to Him.

As you give monthly, please know that you’ll meet the physical needs of Jewish people in very practical ways, but also give them hope.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

P.S. The lost and scattered Tribes of Israel have suffered so much. But your monthly support will bring sight to the blind and healing to the broken. Please give monthly now to share the love and grace of Yeshua with Jewish people!
