This ISIS Attack Could Be an “Historical Opportunity”

The recent wave of horrifying coordinated terrorist attacks in Paris may have done more than shock the world and put all of Europe on high alert. They may very well have triggered a fresh wave of French Jews seeking to emigrate to Israel—that is, make aliyah.

Even before this most recent set of massacres, French Jews were already choosing aliyah in large and growing numbers. By some estimates, nearly 10,000 French Jews have already relocated to Israel in 2015.

He will lift up a banner for the nations, and assemble the dispersed of Israel

The Belgian jihadi suspected of masterminding deadly attacks in Paris died during a police raid on a suburban apartment building, the city prosecutor's office announced Thursday, with France still reeling from the Friday attacks that killed 129 people and wounded hundreds of others. Now, with those numbers expected to surge dramatically, some in Israel are concerned about the tiny nation’s ability to absorb them. As a recent article in the Times of Israel pointed out:

“In the aftermath of Friday’s multi-pronged terror attack in central Paris, an umbrella organization representing dozens of French-Israeli NGOs warned . . . that the immigration and absorption establishment is unprepared for the “historical opportunity” currently presenting itself as many concerned French Jews, suffering from anti-Semitism, economic instability and a European identity crisis, begin to search for a new home.”

Of course the exciting part of such a surge is that it represents fulfilled prophecy. As Isaiah 11:12 declares:

He will lift up a banner for the nations, and assemble the dispersed of Israel, and gather the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth (TLV).

Our amazing God continues to re-gather His people from the four corners of the globe—including Europe!

All of these developments are very significant to those of us familiar with the signs of the Last Days and with the key prophetic markers that indicate the final chapters of history are about to unfold.

For me, it fuels my sense of urgency concerning all God has called Jewish Voice to do. Time is short. And our God-given mission is big!
