Pieces of Yeshua Woven Into a Masterpiece

October 09, 2015

Quilting is a process of giving new life to fabric scraps. Just as the thread holds together the layers of the quilt, the Lord is weaving us into His masterpiece. Recently we received a phenomenal gift from our Platinum Shalom Partners, Joseph and Janet Clark, who use the process of quilting to connect others to the Body of Yeshua. Joseph who considers himself a “fabriholic” worships the Lord while quilting. Read his testimony below:

"I guess you could say that my ending up helping a missions project was inevitable as my Uncle, Joseph Ost (who was a missionary to the Ivory Coast for 35 years) was the one who gave me his name, Joseph. A few years after his death, my aunt gave me a blanket that the churches gave to him when he retired and said she was passing the mantle onto me.

I got started supporting Jewish Voice through my father, Ralph Clark, Sr. when he would have me make out donation checks for him at the first of the month when I would be visiting him. I have wanted to go on one of the medical outreaches and have even gone as far as getting a passport, but haven't gotten God's ok to go on one yet. I am a disabled Vet, and the one passion I have besides my Lord and Savior, and family, is quilting. I am considered a ‘fabriholic’ as I have an estimated 1000 yards of material. I am content to listen to Praise and Worship music as I piece and quilt, or spend time praying over the quilts as I quilt, praying that Yeshua will open the eyes of the parents of the child getting the quilt and wrap the child in His embrace.”

Thank you Joseph and Janet for the work you’ve done for Yeshua, and we are honored to wrap the children of Gondar in Yeshua’s warm embrace through the quilt you so lovingly and prayerfully made! Jonathan will personally like to thank you - please see his video response below:
