The Parasha

The first five books of the Bible, called the Torah and the Pentateuch, are where God first reveals Himself to Israel – and to us. They show us who He is and display His holiness, seriousness about sin, and faithfulness. Judaism reads a portion of the Torah each week to cover all five books in a year.
