This Is Nothing Less Than Raw Hatred

June 16, 2014

Have you heard about the BDS movement? It’s global. It’s growing. It’s insidious. And it’s a direct threat to Israel’s security. “BDS” stands for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions. The aim of the rapidly spreading movement is to pressure institutions to stop investing in Israeli companies or companies with a significant Israeli presence, and to encourage consumer boycotts of such companies’ products. The BDS movement represents a new and destructive tactic in the war on Israel’s legitimacy a...

How Israel is Improving Aid to Holocaust Survivors

June 13, 2014

Israel’s Knesset (legislature) approved a new plan that will increase support to poverty stricken Holocaust survivors. Approximately 193,000 Holocaust survivors remain in Israel, with some 50,000 of them living in poverty. Every year an estimated 13,000 of these special people pass into eternity. New funding allocated this week comes none too soon. Under the new plan, Israel is stepping up their assistance by about one billion NIS (New Israel Shekels). Holocaust survivors who arrived after 19...

God's Promise Happening Before Our Eyes

June 13, 2014

In the next few weeks, the Israeli cabinet is expected to approve a special plan aimed at encouraging Europe’s Jews to immigrate to Israel. The plan is a project of Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption. It would allocate a total of $29 million over the next two years to financial incentives and outreach efforts targeting Jews who are feeling less secure and considering relocation because of rising anti-Semitism and the economic downturn in Europe. The goal is to persuade ...

This is Why We Remember D-Day

June 06, 2014

Seventy years ago today, “the bravest men America and our Allies had to offer stormed the French coast of Normandy. They did it to defeat the cruel and evil Nazi tyranny. They did it not to conquer but to liberate.” June 6, 1944 dawned on one of the boldest, most courageous, and unimaginably formidable of assignments. To land on a beach overlooked by cliffs from which the enemy hurled bullets, grenades and death. To scale the sheer cliffs, overtake the enemy, and thereby initiate the dism...

Suits in the Front - Terrorists in the Back

June 06, 2014

This week, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas swore in a new unity government ending the seven-year-old rift between rival factions PLO/Fatah and Hamas. Not surprisingly, Iran has been supportive of a Fatah-Hamas reunion because it provides Tehran with greater influence over the Palestinian issue and another pressure point against Israel. More surprising has been how quickly the international community has been to welcome and support this new unity government — this in spite of the fact...

Prayers for Salvation at Shavuot

June 02, 2014

Jewish Festivals and Feasts are always a wonderful time to lift up prayers for Jewish People in Israel and around the world to come to know Yeshua, as many of them will be focused and attuned to the same thoughts, themes and even scriptures. Shavuot, falling 50 days after First Fruits, is no exception. It is purposefully connected to Passover, and has no set date of its own. Passover determines when First Fruits will be and First Fruits in turn determines when Shavuot will be. You cannot set t...

Pope’s Israel Visit Seen as “Unfriendly” by Some

May 30, 2014

“He did nearly everything ‘right.’ Kindness and the willingness to be a messenger of peace…topping it off with an invitation to Simon Peres and Abu Mazen to come to Rome to pray and seek peace. Who could oppose this?” Thus begins the observations made in a newsletter by Mr. Jan Willem van der Hoeven, Director of the International Christian Zionist Center. He is not alone in his concerning observations from the Pope’s three-day visit to Israel this week. “Alas, the Golden Age of Catholic-Jewis...
